Kaizen for Cost-Savings and Organizational Excellence

One of important to-do on every leader’s agenda is cost-cutting or cost-saving. Regardless of the external market economy, geographic location or industry vertical, spending money efficiently forms the backbone of every growing business.​
$1 saved = $1 earned is alright but not a smart way to save.
Cost-saving efforts must follow a scientific and methodical process in order to generate consistent meaningful results i.e. improve topline, bottom line and a motivated work environment- all three comprise the return on investment (ROI)
Kaizen is one of the simplest, yet powerful tool for cost-savings and organizational excellence.
Although Kaizen has its roots in Japanese ancient folklore, the concept was introduced as a management methodology to the business world by Toyota around 1940s.

Kaizen in Japanese means ‘Make Better’. It’s a philosophy to continually better whatever you do. Kaizen works on the principle to take small improvement steps daily, so benefits accrue over time and result in exponential savings.
