It was double pleasure moment for me today!
First of course, getting my first Pharma Industry Award- The Indian Drug Manufacturers Association (IDMA) Research Award for best paper in Pharmaceutics. With this work/ paper, I started my journey of applying DOE (design of experiments) to research and product development.
I remember spending 10 hours a day x 7 days a week continuously x for 3 months in the college library studying basic and advanced statistics … reading all major books and journals on statistics & its application to product development … Thanks to Dr. N. L. Butani, Head of Statistics Dept. R. D. National College Bandra, for his guidance and also to Mumbai University's Statistics Department for their help and support.
Lastly, but not the least a big thanks and gratitude to my guide Dr. J. K. Lalla for giving me such a challenging research project, timely motivation and support … couldn't have achieved this Sir without you!
And to augment my happiness, today I met my idol JRD Tata, accidently in the elevator at the prestigious Taj Mahal Hotel Mumbai … and he congratulated me for my award!
