Shruti has over 14 years of experience in key senior Executive roles such as- spearheading new drug development programs, new product portfolio management, warehouse-manufacturing-packaging operations, business planning and providing strategic direction to all size ventures from start-ups to growing divisions, evaluating new opportunities.

Further, she has expertise in conducting due diligence audits before acquisitions, identifying out sourcing partners, negotiating contract and profit sharing terms, identifying new sites for operation’s expansion, design and set up of new R&D infrastructure, up gradation of existing R&D / operations departments, build and manage diverse teams of 10- 400 employees as well as creating effective alliances for co-development ventures. She is a go-getter and works with extremely aggressive timelines.

She has hands-on development expertise and has led formulation development and pre-formulation of over 1500 formulations including Galenicals, Novel, OTC, Herbal, Dietary supplements, Mucosal and Specialty dosage forms. Her Process control and Tech- transfer “Risk Assessment” protocols (ICH Q9), process improvement techniques have saved companies thousands of dollars annually in gross profits.

She has authoritative knowledge and experience with Quality-by-Design (QbD) methodology, development expertise with 18 different types of dosage forms (including solid, liquid, dermal and injectable dosage forms ) belonging to 35 different disease areas, mucosal delivery systems, peptides and biotech based drugs and bio similars.

She has presented more than 25 oral and posters at 20 scientific conventions, over 45 research articles in reputed international journals and published over 60 patents worldwide. She is the proud recipient of the Pharma industry’s “Young Scientist Award”.

Shruti has hands-on patenting expertise with 18 different dosage forms belonging to conventional generics, extended release, NDDS, OTC, Neutraceuticals, herbals, biotech based peptide products, micro capsules etc.

She has an exclusive skill at identifying “obviousness”, “non-novelty” and “non-utility” in competitor patents and is well versed in construction of arguments for patent office action  and response, divisional applications, patents of addition, claims and giving effective directives to researchers as to ways to work around competitor patents/ create patentable new inventions from “Me Too” generic- products.
